Passion Service

The commemoration of Jesus Christ’s suffering and crucifixion. The Solemn Liturgy of the Passion of the Lord includes three parts:

  • Liturgy of the Word: Reading the Passion according to one of the Synoptic Gospels.

  • Adoration of the Cross: Veneration of the Cross, symbolizing Jesus’ sacrifice.

  • Holy Communion: Distribution of consecrated Hosts.

Good Friday is the only day of the year when Holy Mass is not celebrated.

Parishioners are requested to be seated and silent at 2:30pm
